A 2.55 ct Ceylon blue sapphire with strong face-up colour and transparency. Medium-strong cornflower blue with a violet undertone; electric to cornflower in daylight, with even saturation and good life across the crown. Artisan oval cut with lively brilliance off the table. Loupe clean in wear. Strong presence at over two carats without the blue going dark in a ring or pendant mount. Mined at Nivithigala, Ratnapura, Sri Lanka.
