sapphire
Yellow Sapphire 1.19ct
Unheated · Ceylon
Available
This natural yellow sapphire was selected from rough out of the gem-bearing gravels of southern Sri Lanka, near Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, and displays a warm honey yellow with even face-up colour. The stone weighs 1.19 ct. Cut in Sri Lanka into a pear cut, with lively colour flashes across the crown. Left unheated; colour and internals as the rough came out of the ground. Very little inside the stone; faint silk or tiny pinpoints if you look closely, which is normal for mined crystal. Works in custom jewellery or a personal collection of Ceylon stones.
